|Dr. Ulf Rinne studied Economics at the University of Bonn, Germany. He received his doctorate from the Free University of Berlin in 2009. After joining IZA as a Resident Research Affiliate in August 2005, Ulf Rinne became a Research Associate and Personal Advisor to the Director in January 2009. Since October 2011 he is a senior research associate. His research interests are in the fields of empirical labour economics and applied microeconometrics. He is particularly interested in the evaluation of labour market policies, topics in migration and immigrants' assimilation as well as in education, human capital investments and discrimination.
