Improving Access to Labour Market Information for Migrants and Employers

VENUE

The conference will be held on the premises of the Management Centre Europe (MCE), located at 118 Rue de l’Aqueduc, 1050 Brussels (Ixelles), Belgium.

LANGUAGE

The working language of the conference will be English.

REGISTRATION

Please register online at http://labourmigration.eu. Registration will be open from 24 September to 24 October 2012.

ACCREDITATION

All registered participants are invited to obtain the badges at the conference’s accreditation desk in front of the conference room at the Management Centre Europe. The accreditation desk will be open as of 8:30am on 6 November 2012.

CATERING

Lunch and refreshments will be offered to all participants on the day of the conference at the organizers’ expense.

TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT

The meeting room will be equipped with technical facilities for Power Point presentations.

GUIDELINES FOR THE DEBATES

The intention is to develop a free-flowing discussion based on the keynote speeches, introductory remarks and background materials. To this end, we urge participants to abstain from formal interventions in the form of prepared statements to the extent possible.

Prepared statements, background information, comments or other written materials may be submitted in advance or during the meeting to IOM (aschuster@iom.int or to the accreditation desk).

Transportation to/from Brussels Airport:

A taxi ride from/to the airport to/from Brussels city costs up to 50€, depending on the time of the day. Alternatively, it is possible to take a train (5,40 €) to/from Bruxelles-Midi or Bruxelles-Central train stations or the airport bus No 12 (3,50€ from the GO ticket vending machines) to/from Schuman or Place Luxembourg.
